🎾 Join the Grammar Rebels!

Did you know that some English words are rebels? They refuse to follow the normal
rule of just adding an -s when there are many of them.

For example: one horse - many horses, one girl - many girls

Today, your mission is to find these rebels and group them by their "secret powers."

🛠 Your Mission:

  1. Find a pattern (mönster): sort out all the words you think belong together and put them on the desk.

  2. Where do they belong? Sort the rebels: Place your word pairs under one of the four Heading Cards.

  3. Find the secret rule: Look at the words in each group. Can you figure out how they change? Write it down and form a rule to remember.

  4. Present your rule to the class. Show the class an example that motivates your rule.

đŸš© The Four Rebel Groups (Headings)

The Vowel Changers          The F-Transformers       The Y-Spies       The Rebels (Unique)
They change their inside.     They change f into ves.    Y becomes ies.   They have no rules!

📝 The Rule Maker

Look at your word groups and finish the sentences:

  • In "The Vowel Changers", we change the... _____________________

  • In "The F-Transformers", we remove the F and add... _____________________

  • In "The Rebels", the secret rule is... _____________________

  • In "Y-spies", look at Baby đŸ‘¶. What happened to the Y? _____________________

  • Why are Sheep and Fish "lazy" rebels? _____________________

💡 Pro Tips:

One Person🠚 Many People: Remember, People means "mĂ€nniskor".

You don't need an -s because the word is already plural!

Sheep & Fish: These rebels are so lazy that they don't change at all. One sheep, ten sheep! 🐑
