Once p. 102 - end

In your groups, discuss:

Use the VENN diagram.

1. Can you find anything that happened during WW2 that is the same that is happening in the world today? Write that in the middle of the circle.

2. Write examples of what happened to the refugees during WW2 that aren't happening today in the left part of the circle.

3. Write examples of what is happening today that didn't happen during WW2. Write that in the right part of the circle.

4. During WW2, from which countries did most refugees come and why?

5.  Can you find evidence from the Swedish history - have Swedes ever fled our country? If so, when and why?

You will also get literature cards to discuss, I don't have them online. You will get them when we see each other.

Week 9

Finish reading the book before the lesson on Tuesday.

In your groups you can choose between two different tasks. Decide in your groups which one you would like to work with. You only have to work with one of the tasks. You can choose which app that you would like to use. Perhaps GreenScreen? I will show you different alternatives.

1. Pretend that you are from the BBC and that you are in Poland during WW2 trying to report what is going on in the country. Suddenly, you find two children in the forest, all alone, hungry and thirsty, close to the railway.  They start telling you their story and you decide that you have to tell the world about these children.

Use the app XXX and create a news report.

- Write a manuscript
- Hand in your text in Google Classroom and ask me to give you feedback when you have written half of it and again when you are finished.
You need a headline that catches the viewers' attention.
You need to talk about why you are in the country. (Background, facts, sources)
You need to talk about the reason why you chose to tell the world about Felix and Zelda.
Summarize their story.
Describe how you felt when you heard their story.
Here you can learn How to write a news report

The show should be about 4 minutes.

- Practice speaking
- Record in XXX and upload to my Youtube account. Tell me when you are finished and I will upload it for you.
