Relay writing
Today we will practice writing! Use your imagination! Be creative!
1. You will work in groups of 4- 5 students; everyone needs paper and a pencil.
2. Each student will write two sentences that start with:
Once upon a time...
(Inspiration:
-my grandpa had a rusty, old car which he every Sunday night drove down to the beach. There he sat, smoked his cigar and watched the stars.
-I went to a stable and there I saw the most stunning stallion I had ever seen. My heart hammered in my chest when I stroke his black fur. )
Fold your paper so only the last sentence can be seen.
3. Change papers and don't unfold the paper!
Continue writing the story with two more sentences starting with:
Then ...

4. Continue writing two more sentences starting with:
Next ...
Change papers...
5. Continue writing two more sentences starting with:
Afterwards...
Change papers...
6. Continue writing two more sentences starting with:
Suddenly...
7. Continue writing two more sentences starting with:
Later on...
Change papers...
8.. Continue writing two more sentences starting with:
Finally...
9. Now make sure you have the paper you started writing on.
Read your story!
Take turns reading your stories.
Decide which one you like the most and motivate why. Prepare to read the story out loud!
