Horrid Henry's Horrible Halloween!
1. Take a look at the pictures.
Henry and Peter are siblings. One is horrid and one is perfect.
* Do you have siblings? Are you more perfect than horrid? Or are you more horrid than perfect?
* If I ask someone who is close to you - what would that person say: horrid, perfect or something in between?
2. Let us take a look at the other characters that appear in the books and series.
3. Before we move on to see how Henry celebrates Halloween we need to learn about Halloween:
- Take notes while watching. Try to write down about 5 things about Halloween. - After watching turn to a friend and compare your notes.
- Tell the class about one thing you both learned from watching the film.

6. Now it is your turn to read a scary ghost story!
Read the ghost story that you have in front of you. Underline words you don't know and look them up.
Read the ghost story aloud three times and try to pronounce the words clearly, but try to act like a scary narrator so your audience will understand that your story is a ghost or scary story! Be an actor!
When you think you are ready to read it - tell your teacher to listen to you while you read a part of your story.

7. You will be in groups of three. The student who lives closest to the school will start reading his/her story.
The others listen.
The students that listen will afterwards rate the ghost story from 1-5 where 1 is the lowest and 5 is the highest rate. Was the is scary? Funny? Not scary? Motivate why you rated it the way you did!
8. Tell the rest of the class what your ghost story was about and what rate it got.
Perhaps someone feels like telling the story to the whole class?
